The ignominy of a Presidential address!

Remember the days when presidential addresses used to be a defining moment in a nations era. JFK asking the people “ask not what the country can do for you but what you can do for the country”. A nation going at war, a nation struck by natural disaster, calls for unity-are moments defining presidential address, but never for calls to call your senator or congressman.

Under President Obama, presidential address has become a mockery. Last week Obama went live on CNN urging people to call their republican congressman and ask them to raise the deficit limit. Today in his press conference he urged people to tweet their congressmen. These addresses seem more like his complaints to the people about the republicans blocking the bills and that he is not to be blamed in case of further problems. These highlight his inability to lead and to bring the 2 parties together and reach an amicable solution. President Obama may be savvy in the use of technology and social networking but he is proving to be incompetent to lead a nation. America does not need a president who is going to facebook and tweet for a year and a half for his re-election campaign; they need a hardcore problem solver who will be resolving the economical issues. President Barack Hussein Obama is on his way to go down as the most irresponsible, incompetent and non-statured president in the modern American history.

PS: I am not an Obama basher. That’s just what I have become.

  1. Dude, times have changed. Now a days social media is more affective than traditional media. A leader has got to do what a leader has got to do to arise the masses from their slumber and voice their opinion.
