"Industrial revolution coupled with the evolution of complex analytical techniques has made possible building of colossal structures and magnificent machines. It has revolutionized the way we live and helped in improving the quality of life. Be it a sturdier and safer automotive design or a massive bridge structure over the ocean or a day to day utility like a refrigerator – everything is a result of this revolution. However with this revolution has increased the appetite of the mankind to consume the ever depleting natural resources of metals, petroleum and other energy sources. The scarcity of these resources has necessitated the development of innovative designs that can function efficiently. A light weight automobile is a good example of such a design. Such design has multiple advantages of being highly fuel efficient, costing less apart from saving valuable resources of steel."
This is how intended the first para of my thesis to be until some one pointed out it to be utterly needless and unrelated. ;)
